Penalties

There are many highway penalties that are strictly enforced on Prince Edward Island. Driving dangerously or driving with misleading or false information (ie, fake or suspended driver's licence) are serious violations that can result in loss of merit points, vehicle impoundment, driving suspensions, and incarceration.
