Medical Residency Interest Relief Program

The Government of Prince Edward Island has established a Medical Residency Interest Relief Program which provides financial assistance to students completing a residency program. If you are an Island student in a Medical Residency program and have a PEI Student Loan, you are eligible to apply for this program.

This interest relief program applies to Provincial Student Loan balances. The Government of Prince Edward Island will make interest payments to keep your loan in good standing while you are completing your residency program.

Application forms are available online or by contacting Student Financial Services at (902) 368-4640.
