The Department of Innovation & Advanced Learning is overseeing the implementation of the province's five-year innovation and economic strategy, The Island Prosperity Strategy, A Focus for Change.

Government is investing in people, innovation and strategic infrastructure to create new economic opportunities for Islanders all across the province.

Our economic strategy requires a well-trained, educated workforce. Education is key to competing in a global, knowledge-based economy.

We are working to ensure that Islanders have the skills they need to participate in today's economy. We are committed to improving and increasing post-secondary opportunities to build a strong workforce and create a better future for all Islanders.
