PEI Government Seasonal Jobs Registry

The Government of Prince Edward Island accepts applications throughout the year to fill short-term seasonal jobs with various departments. These extra staff address peak workloads connected to a season of the year and are limited to a 10 – 20 week duration. To help managers fill these positions, an electronic inventory of applicants is maintained. To apply to this inventory you have three options:

  1. Register into the inventory by applying online.
  2. Download a printable version of the application form.
  3. Pick up and drop off a completed application at any of the Access PEI Sites.

Please note that the same application form is used for both seasonal hiring and Employment Development Agency job opportunities. You do not need to submit two separate applications.

Important: Your pre-screening for seasonal jobs is based on the information provided on your application. You must provide as much information as you can to help determine your suitability for the job.

Remember: This is an inventory, and not a specific competition. There is no deadline or closing date to register your application. Your application will be valid for one year based on the date of submission.

When a seasonal opportunity becomes available, the departmental Human Resources manager will advise the Seasonal Hiring Office. A search of the job registry applications will be conducted to seek applicants who live in the geographical area and meet the job requirements. To assist us with determining your eligibility, it is important to provide as much information as possible on your application form. Candidates being considered will be contacted for an interview.
