Employment Development Agency Jobs Registry

The Jobs Registry is the employment registration service of the PEI Employment Development Agency. The Jobs Registry refers unemployed Islanders to employment opportunities created by the Agency and its affiliate partners.

Who can register?
Persons who are residents of Prince Edward Island, eligible to work in Canada and who are seeking employment though such initiatives as;

              1.   Employment Development Agency’s Special Projects Program or,
              2.   Student employment funded by the Agency’s Jobs for Youth Program or,
              3.   Seasonal employment offered through the PEI Government Seasonal Hiring Office and,
              4.   Job creation programs and employment services provided by affiliate partners.

What do these jobs pay?
Wage rate and position duration depend on the applicable program. Please refer to the appropriate program guidelines for specific details.

Where are the jobs located?
All across Prince Edward Island. Projects are sponsored by businesses, non-profit organizations, Provincial and municipal governments throughout Prince Edward Island.

What Kind of Jobs Are Funded?
Jobs can be any variety of work providing meaningful work experience, training opportunities or that utilize a wide range of skilled occupations. Student jobs can offer career related work experience to assist them in making the school-to-work transition. Seasonal hiring with Government departments may include jobs such as: flaggers, general labourers, park workers, forestry workers, golf course workers and so on.

Non-students must complete the Employment Development Agency & PEI Government Seasonal Jobs Registry application.

Students must complete the Employment Development Agency & PEI Government Seasonal Jobs Registry application for students.

Both forms can be completed online or by downloading its printable PDF.  Applications are also available by contacting the Employment Development Agency or any Access PEI location.
