Renewal: Application for Annual Renewal of Registration of a Private Training School

Introduction:

  • You may do this online or submit it in paper form.
  • Everything must be completed and the application submitted well before the date of expiry of the school's certificate of registration.
  • If you have a question or want some guidance, contact the Administrator of Private Training Schools.

How to apply:
A complete application for registration renewal involves three kinds of element:

  • You fill in the application form to confirm the basic contact information.
  • You provide written materials or notes to describe any significant changes which have occurred. You can attach this electronically to the form, or e-mail it separately, or send it by post, or bring it in to the office.
  • You send by post or courier, or bring in to the office, the renewal fee and any other items that need to be provided physically such as books, brochure, advertisement etc.

Step B -- Describe CHANGES

Outline any significant changes in registration information which have occurred since the last registration or other submission of material. Just write some short, descriptive notes and/or provide the material itself in its new version.

  • If you prepare this material as one or two files in either Word or WordPerfect, you can submit it on-line with the Application Form.
  • Or you can e-mail it separately to the Administrator
  • Or send it by post to

  • Or you may courier or deliver it to the 3rd floor of the Sullivan Building at 16 Fitzroy Street in Charlottetown

  • Program structure/delivery methods
  • Books, instructional materials
  • Admission requirements
  • Student evaluation methods
  • Facilities (site/s, physical space, equipment)
  • Fees - tuition, other; collection structure
  • Items student must provide (with estimated cost)
  • Student contract
  • Refund policy
  • Promotional material (e.g. brochure, advertisements, etc.)
  • Certificate/diploma
  • Enrolment - maximum number of students for each program
  • Instructional plan - staffing arrangements
  • Proposed new program offering(s)*
    * If you are proposing a new program, provide a two- to three-page Program Description to outline the objective, content, duration, structure/methods, books/materials, admission, and evaluation.

Step C -- Provide the FEE and Any OTHER ITEMS

  • The renewal fee of $75, payable to the Provincial Treasurer of PEI.
  • Other items, for example:
    • Application for an Instructor Authorization for any proposed new instructor.
    • The Instructor Authorization fee of $35 for any proposed new instructor, payable to the Provincial Treasurer of PEI.
    • Promotional materials such as a course calendar, brochure, print or TV advertisement.
    • Books
