Student Contract for Private Training Schools
Requirements for a Student Contract (Regulation s.15)
Every student who is enrolled in a program must sign a contract with the private training school before training begins. The form of the school's contract must be approved by the Administrator of Private Training Schools.
Whether within the text or attached and forming a part of the contract, the following items must be included in the student contract:
- Name and address of the school
- Name of operator or official responsible for student affairs
- Start date and duration of this program
- Statement: not allowed to guarantee employment position
- Statement: this contract is subject to the Private Training School Act and Regulations
- Name of program/courses
- Detailed outline of content
- Description of methods of instruction
- Outline of examinations to be taken
- Fees: tuition and other course-connected costs
- Fee Payment options, and procedure for collecting delinquent accounts
- Date of contract
- Name and mailing address of the student
- Student signature
- Signature of school official (with authority to make contract)
It is also very desirable that the rules about refunds be included in the student contract.
