Innovation PEI is focused on advancing economic development in Prince Edward Island by investing in people, innovation, and infrastructure. We are targeting key sectors that have displayed a high potential for economic growth within the Province. These sectors include aerospace, bioscience (including agriculture and fisheries), information technology, financial services and renewable energy. We strive to assist the rapid development of these sectors and others to drive our Island economy through innovative new products and services.

Prospecting and Innovation Programs
WHAT WE DO
The Prospecting and Innovation Programs division is responsible for growing the strategic sectors of aerospace, bioscience, information technology, financial services and renewable energy as well as attracting out of province business investment to Prince Edward Island. The division also manages innovation programs focused on encouraging innovation and new product development.

Business Development and Integration
WHAT WE DO
The Business Development and Integration division is responsible for the coordination and delivery of information, assistance, and support programs to businesses in Prince Edward Island. The division supports businesses in start up, expansion, trade development, and diversification. The division provides a full range of business counseling and programs to support the long term viability of Prince Edward Island businesses.

Trade and Export Development
WHAT WE DO
The Trade and Export Development division will work closely with the business development and prospecting groups in an effort to develop incremental or new export channels. This division will work collaboratively across industry and government to create partnerships that will leverage all the parts and pieces of investment in export efforts to a greater focus.
