Public meetings on new energy strategy

It is important that PEI implements energy policies that focus on sustainability, including approaches to energy efficiency and conservation, renewable and alternative energy and economic development.

Public input will help shape a new energy strategy for PEI. Public meetings are scheduled this week in Elmsdale, Summerside, Charlottetown and Montague from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Islanders may also send submissions by e-mail.

That's Island Style

Island products including oysters, lobster, mussels, potatoes and beef are PEI products showcased in the 'That's Island Style' campaign.

'That’s Island Style' is a campaign that celebrates Island culture with PEI food and drink products. This spring and summer, local producers will take part in grocery and liquor store promotions across the province. Recipes have been developed that showcase Island products. All meals include drink pairing suggestions and drink recipes.

Jordan Fraser and his co-founder started building Baxtext just over two years ago as a sideline to their other jobs. They didn’t seek investors but rather wanted to try to make it on their own. Being awarded $25,000 in start up funding from the province's Ignition fund helped with their bootstrapping approach.

Special Committee on Democratic Renewal Releases Report

Following province-wide discussions, the Special Committee on Democratic Renewal has submitted its report to the 2nd Session of the 65th Legislative Assembly of Prince Edward Island and has refined a plebiscite question for consideration to the Assembly.
