Jobs for Youth Program - Non-Profit Sector
The Non-profit Sector Component of the Jobs For Youth Program is designed to create additional employment for Island students by assisting non-profit organizations with wage support to carry out projects of significance to their communities. The program is 100% funded by the Government of Prince Edward Island and administered by the Employment Development Agency.
Students hired to fill positions of approved projects must be registered with the Employment Development Agency Jobs Registry.

Who can apply?
Projects employ students between the ages of 16 and 29 for periods ranging from eight to twelve weeks. All types of project proposals are considered, especially those which contribute to community development and provide a meaningful work experience for its employees.
