Kings County Memorial Hospital
The Kings County Memorial Hospital is a 30 bed acute care hospital which serves a population of 15,000. 24 hour emergency coverage is provided as well as lab/x-ray services. Surgery and obstetrics are provided through the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Charlottetown which is the main referral hospital for the province. Visiting specialists provide service to patients on a weekly basis in the areas of surgery, internal medicine, pediatrics, plastics surgery, and orthopedics.
