Canadian Mortgage and Housing Corporation

C.M.H.C. provides operating subsidies to numerous non-profit housing corporations and non-profit housing co-operatives throughout PEI so that these non-profit organizations might offer housing at rent levels lower than those normally available in the "private" marketplace. In many cases these non-profit organizations provide housing at a rent level that is geared or tied to the household's income.

Client groups served by these non-profit organizations include: seniors, families, persons with mental health concerns, victims of family violence and the physically challenged.
