Tax Collection Program

The provincial tax collection program is administered by the Tax Compliance Services section of Taxation and Property Records Division, and involves the collection of consumption taxes due to the Province in the most effective and efficient manner, and with the minimum amount of hardship to the taxpayer. The taxes collected under this program are revenue (sales) tax, tobacco tax, environment tax and gas tax. The applicable acts and regulations are the Revenue Tax Act, Revenue Administration Act, Health Tax Act, Environment Tax Act and Gasoline Tax Act and related regulations.
