Holland College - Atlantic Police Academy
The mission of the Atlantic Police Academy is to provide timely, contemporary law enforcement training, education and development from basic to advanced levels. Today’s law enforcement professional is challenged in the acquisition of a wide variety of skills necessary in a fast-changing society. The Atlantic Police Academy provides the means to obtain those necessary skills. Located at Slemon Park near Summerside, the Atlantic Police Academy is the pre-eminent training institution of its kind in Canada. Offering both full-time and in-service training programs, the Academy trains dedicated people who want to enter the field of law enforcement for the first time and offers advanced training to those already experienced in law enforcement. The Academy just recently completed an $8.5M renovation that expanded and modernized the facility and has added significantly to the programs the Academy can offer.
