Edward Palmer Monument
A Father of Confederation, Palmer was a delegate to the Charlottetown and Quebec conferences. He was a member of the legislature and of the Legislative Council from 1835-60 and 1860-73 respectively. He was also the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of PEI from 1874-89. Born in Charlottetown, September 1, 1809. He died in Charlottetown November 3, 1889. He is buried at the Sherwood Cemetery. The grave is marked by the Government of Canada.
