John Hamilton Gray, Colonel C.M.G. Monument
A Father of Confederation, John Hamilton Gray served with the Imperial Forces in India and Africa. He was Premier of Prince Edward Island between 1863-1865 and an advocate of Confederation with Canada. Born in Charlottetown, June 14, 1811. Died in Charlottetown, August 13, 1887. He is buried at the Sherwood Cemetery. The grave is marked by the Government of Canada.
