Accelerated Secondary Apprenticeship Program
The Accelerated Secondary Apprenticeship Program (ASAP) is offered to Prince Edward Island youth, aged 16 to 18 years.
ASAP provides career-focused youth with the opportunity to gain a head start on their post-secondary apprenticeship training while still attending high school. Students log hours and gain trade-specific skills through on-the-job work experience and structured course work. This helps open doors to post-secondary training and/or workforce entry upon graduation from Grade 12. ASAP encourages youth to take an active role in planning their own education and employment, therefore preparing for a successful future as a skilled professional.
