Lighthouses

Around Prince Edward Island there are many lighthouses large and small. Ornamental lighthouses are not listed here.

When visiting lighthouses, please observe and respect private property where noted. Be careful around the shore; stay away from high banks (Cape Bear) or treacherous rocks (Cape Tryon). Harbour entrances (runs) bordered by two breakwaters can carry a fast current with tidal action. Do not swim in or around them and do not jump in. Confine your water activities to the supervised areas.
