Point Prim Lighthouse
On the Trans Canada Highway, look for the turn-off to Point Prim between Belfast and Pinette. At the end of the road turn left in through the woods to the light. Some years the lighthouse is open to the public. It is the oldest lighthouse on PEI (1846) and the only round one. Its walls are 18" thick made of brick. Years after original construction it was sheathed with wooden strapping and shingles.Height in meters above ground: 18.3
