PEI ADAPT Council
The objective of the ADAPT Council is to assist primary and secondary agriculture to adapt to, and become more competitive within, the realities of the changing global marketplace while strengthening the leadership and management of environmentally sustainable agricultural production.
The Prince Edward Island ADAPT Council administers PEI's portion of the Canadian Adaptation and Rural Development (CARD) Fund of Agriculture and Agric-Food Canada. ,. By March 2003, the Council will have received $4.2 million in CARD funding , including allocation under the National Soil and Water Conservation Program (NSWCP) and the Agricultural Environmental Stewardship Initiative (AESI).
