Casual Occupational Therapy Worker - Physical Medicine

Department: Health PEI
Location:Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown

OPEN TO THE PUBLIC

The primary focus of this position, under the supervision and guidance of the Occupational Therapist, will be to provide occupational therapy services to inpatients of the QEH.

Duties include:

- instructing patients in group or individual activities;

- maintaining equipment and preparing treatment areas for patient use;

- reporting on client progress to Occupational Therapist;

- other related duties.

Bi-Weekly Hours: Casual/ On demand

Qualifications:

- Must have completed Grade XII, supplemented with successful completion of an Occupational Therapy Assistant Program.

- Must have a good previous work and attendance record.

- The successful applicant must provide a satisfactory criminal records check prior to beginning employment.

Other Qualifications:

- Previous experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant would be an asset.

- Previous experience working with individuals and groups who have suffered a stroke is an asset.

Salary Range:$23.40 - $25.38 per hour
