Direct Sellers Licence
The business activities of direct sales vendors and salespersons is regulated in Prince Edward Island, including the sale of goods and services door-to-door or over the telephone,Most direct sellers must obtain a license before they can operate in Prince Edward Island. This license must be carried by the seller and be presented for inspection when requested by a consumer.
Any non-resident company wishing to carry on business in this province, must first be registered under the Extra-provincial Corporations Registration Act of the Province of PEI. If the nature of your business entails direct selling, the company must first be licensed as a vendor at a cost of $200.00 and the individual salespersons must also be licensed at a cost of $50.00.
Licenses issued under the Direct Sellers Act are valid for two-years. Cheques should be made payable to Provincial Treasurer of PEI. If you are submitting a vendor’s licence application you must include a copy of the contract which you will be using with your customers. The contract must have the 10-day cooling-off period printed on its face. At the Registrar’s discretion, there may be a bonding requirement. Upon reviewing the application, the Registrar will advise if bonding is required.

Vendor direct seller licence - $200.00
Individual salesperson licence - $50.00
