Business Registration for Extra-Provincial Corporations
A corporation incorporated elsewhere must be registered by the Government of Prince Edward Island to carry out business in Prince Edward Island.Description
Submit a completed EXTRA-PROVINCIAL Corporations Registration Application and the required fee in person or by mail to Consumer Affairs at the address below.
The application form requires the name of the corporation, its mailing address, head office address, local address in P.E.I. (if any), the nature of its business and its jurisdiction of incorporation. Extra-provincial firms carrying out business in Prince Edward Island must register under the Extra-Provincial Corporations Registration Act regardless of whether or not branches or employees are located in the province.
Extra provincial corporations are required to renew registration on a yearly basis.
Fees
The minimum fee is $250.00 and can vary up to $1,500.00 depending on the nature of business being conducted in the province.
