A Task Force on Land Use Policy has been established to ensure all Islanders have the opportunity to share their ideas for developing, and implementing, future land use policy. Read the consultation draft.

Strategy for Conservation
The Report of the Commission on Land and Local Governance recommended that a new provincial strategy for conservation be developed.  This process is being led by the Environmental Advisory Council (EAC).  'Planning for a Sustainable Future' will be a strategy to protect nature, set development policies and secure the best possible future for Islanders.

A new sustainable development strategy will help to inform provincial land use policies by identifying principles for decision making and setting direction for protecting land and resources.  The Task Force on Land Use Policy and the EAC will be working together to seek the views of Islanders on their vision for a sustainable PEI.
