Biographical history

Bertha Lucinda MacKenzie was born 25 October 1910 to Henry D. MacKenzie and Viva Doherty of St. Peters Bay, Prince Edward Island. At the Baptist parsonage in St. Peters on 31 December 1931, Bertha married a painter named Simeon Glenwood McNeill, son of Simeon D. McNeill and Harriet MacLaren. Bertha MacKenzie McNeill died in 1979.

The scrapbook belonging to Bertha MacKenzie McNeill contains clippings, mainly from Prince Edward Island newspapers, about a variety of topics of interest to the owner. A large percentage of articles are about Islanders and other Canadians in World War II. Subjects of other clippings include royalty, marriages, deaths and prominent news items.
