History
Nathaniel Thomas Worrell Carrington, son of Richard Williams Carrington and Jane Worrell of St. Thomas Parish, Barbados, was born on 9 February 1801. Like his father, Nathaniel became a sugar planter. Nathaniel married Christian (Kitty) Wharton on 6 December 1832. They had thirteen children. When Kitty became ill in 1837, Nathaniel traveled with her and their son Richard to what is now Canada and the United States. Nathaniel died on 29 May 1855 on board the mail steamer "Wye" en route to England with his son and was buried at sea.
