Biographical history
Douglas Sobey is a native of Summerside, Prince Edward Island, and lecturer in the University of Ulster's School of Biological and Chemical Sciences. He is also a Research Associate of the Institute of Island Studies in Charlottetown, P.E.I. The main focus of his research has been the history of the forests and forestry in Prince Edward Island in order to arrive at a description of the province's natural forests.
