Biographical history
Frank Beaumont Jones was born in Pownal, Prince Edward Island on 4 June 1895, the son of W. A. Locke and Emily (Jenkins) Jones. The Jones family was a prominent family in the Pownal area involved in political, religious and community affairs.

Scope and content
The fonds contains miscellaneous papers of Frank Beaumont Jones, including diaries (1961-1971), personal reminiscences, family and historical notes, marriage certificate, clippings, and one photograph of Frank (ca. 1955). The fonds also includes some correspondence, including a letter of condolence addressed to Frank’s wife Marie following the birth of their stillborn son, and motor vehicle permits, operator’s licenses, gas ration coupons, and pupil’s war savings pass book (1941-1946). Two bank notes (1870 Dominion of Canada, $0.25; 1877 Bank of Prince Edward Island, $1.00) are also part of the fonds.
