History

The Prince Edward Lodge No. 14 of the Ancient Free and Accepted Masons was granted a charter in June 1885, following a petition drawn up at a 5 February meeting in the lodge room of Mt. Zion #12 at Kensington, Prince Edward Island. The first meeting was held 4 March 1885. It appears to have been preceded by a Council of Royal Templars called the Hiram Council No. 1 organized in December 1884 by residents of the Stanley Bridge/New London area. Meetings of the Lodge were held in the Stanley Hall until 1976/77 when a new lodge room was prepared at Graham's Road.
