Historique de la conservation

The components of the fonds have been deposited at various times through various accessions with the Public Archives and Records Office and the PEI Museum and Heritage Foundation. Deposits were made by members of the family and/or their representatives, through purchases at an estate auction sale, and from the estate of Dr. Bailey. The original Charlottetown home of Rev. John Goodwill and Mrs. Goodwill, was inhabited by various members of the Goodwill family and the Baileys upon their retirement. Mrs. Euphemia Goodwill passed on (or perhaps sold) the house to her son, Dr. Victor L. Goodwill and his wife, Florence M. (Reid). Dr. and Mrs. Bailey lived with Mrs. Florence Goodwill. Upon Mrs. Florence Goodwill's death, the house, and its contents passed to her sister Mrs. Eva Bailey and her husband, Dr. William L. Bailey.
