Biographical history

M. Marion Macdonald Watts was born in Georgetown, Prince Edward Island on 2 July 1882 to Archibald J. Macdonald (1834-1917) and Marion Murphy (1847-1921). On 10 January 1924, she married Henry Fowler Ransord Watts (29 November 1869 - 15 April 1957) in Saint John, New Brunswick. The couple had one child, John Ransford Watts. Marion Macdonald Watts died 31 July 1975 in Georgetown.

Scope and content

The subseries consists correspondence from Marion Macdonald Watts to her brother, J. Howard Macdonald, 1907 to 1908; from various family members, 1951 to 1970; and correspondence to and from her son, John Ransford Watts, 1970 to 1978. One 1907 post card addressed to Marion from an unidentified sender is also included.
