History
Aeneas Adolphus Macdonald was born 30 November 1864, eldest son of Andrew A. Macdonald (1829-1919) and Elizabeth Lee Owen (1835-1901). Aeneas studied law and was admitted to the bar in 1890. He would go on to be appointed Judge of Probate in 1916. Aeneas served as a Conservative for 2nd Kings County, 1912 to 1915. He also acted as Private Secretary to his uncle, Augustine "Austin" C. Macdonald, during Austin’s terms as Lieutenant Governor of Prince Edward Island, 1915 to 1919. On 30 August 1904, Aeneas married Margaret Jane MacDonald. The couple had four children: Reginald Archibald, Margaret E., Anna Mary Owen, and Allan. Aeneas died 30 June 1920.
