Scope and content

The fonds consists of a microfilm copy of eight bound volumes of records of the People's Cemetery in Malpeque, Prince Edward Island. Volume 1 contains a nominal index of all people who purchased plots in the cemetery. The cemetery was divided into seven sections, A-G. As plots were sold, an entry was made in the appropriate section volume. Volumes two to eight contain plot outlines for each of the seven sections of the cemetery. Many of the entries contain vital statistic information for the people buried in the cemetery such as birth and death dates and relationships to other individuals within the same plot.
