History

Hector Morrison of Morvern, married Marion McLean of Ardnacross, both of the Isle of Mull, Scotland. They had eleven children, ten of whom were born in Scotland. In 1806, Hector and Marion emigrated to PEI and settled in Flat River. Neil Morrison from the Isle of Mull, whose Morrison family members on PEI corresponded with, was probably Hector's brother who remained on Mull and never married. This Morrison family was related to the Rankin family through the marriage of Coun Douly Rankin to Flora Morrison.
