This series focuses on public policy issues and legislative affairs. Briefing books prepared for the Senator on legislation and other public policy issues being debated in the Senate have been incorporated into this series with the notation "briefing book" appended to the file title. These files include correspondence and submissions from individuals, groups, and companies, brochures, copies of legislation and reports by special committees, documents from government departments, newsletters, releases, and clippings, and information from the Internet. Arrangement is alphabetical by file title. There are also several background files and the report Soils at risk produced by the Senate Standing Committee on Agriculture and on the Somalia affair and inquiry.
