Custodial history

Scope and content

The collection consists of four negatives of black and white photographs. The first is a scenic photograph of Murray Harbour. The other three photographs depict people living in the Murray Harbour area around the turn of the century. One is a studio portrait of Lena, Winsloe and Louise Dunn by Lumsden Photo.
Lena Dunn (1889-?) married Henry James Brehaut (1886-1969) on 2 February 1909 and had two sons: James Clarence and Elmer Richard. Winsloe A. Dunn (1882-1965) married Susan Phillips (1888-1967), and had one daughter, Myrtle May (1908-1935). Louisa married John Milton Chapman of Beach Point on 19 May 1910. Another photograph, entitled "Trip to the Flour Mill in Montague," includes Fred Davey, William Brehaut, Henry Brehaut, and Sidney MacKay. The mill in the third picture was probably Donald Campbell's mill, located on the Montague River, which milled both lumber and grain. The collection also consists of a photograph of the Beach Point Stars Hockey Team (players identified).
