The Hon. John Frederick Whear (1867-1951) and his wife Florence (Murchison) lived at 33 Upper Prince Street, Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. John Whear the son of John Whear and Margaret Barnard. He became a lawyer and was a partner in the firm of Weeks and Whear until 1904 when he became Postmaster of Chrlottetown and Post Office Inspector for the province. He was elected three times to the city Council and also served as a member of the Legislative Assembly. The Whears had two daughters, one of whom was Marion Barnard Whear, born on 15 December 1895. Marion received her education in Charlottetown, probably at Upper Prince Street School, followed by Prince of Wales College. She was an avid photographer. Marion married Wilfred Tennyson Parker, son of A. Herbert Parker and Helen McKeen of Georgetown. Wilfred and Marion resided for a time in Charlottetown where Wilfred was employed at the Canadian Bank of Commerce. W. T. Parker died in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, on the 21 April 1972. Marion Parker died on 13 March 1987.
