Rural Youth Fair
The Rural Youth Fair is the biggest 4-H provincial event of the year and an opportunity to celebrate everything we love about 4-H on PEI! This year’s Fair will be held in Alberton at the Prince County Exhibition Grounds. The majority of the day revolves around livestock classes including: Poultry, Turkey, Rabbit, Goat, Sheep, Canine, Beef, Dairy, and Horse and Pony. All submitted Life-Skill and Home Economic projects will also be on display.
Thanks to generous support from Maritime Electric, the “Do by Doing Derby” (formerly known as the Skills Competition) is open to both 4-H members and non 4-H members to participate in these hands-on, skill-testing events with cool prizes.
Fun (and free!) activities such as Bubble Soccer, Archery Tag, Face Painting and activity tables will also be offered to everyone attending (including guests!) throughout the day.
Don’t forget to stop by the Welcome Table to fill out a ballot for a chance to win our Grand Prize of a one night’s stay at the Delta Prince Edward in Charlottetown. “Buddy Bags” will be available again this year for families who are interested in learning more about joining 4-H!
COMPLETE EVENT SCHEDULE AND PROJECT DROP-OFF TIMES WILL BE POSTED SOON!
