REAL SkillsThe REAL skills program is designed to provide youth between the ages of 14 and 21 with Rural Employment And Life Skills. You will be presented with the opportunity to learn practical skills that will help you prepare for employment by building up your experiences in:
- Automotive Care and Maintenance,
- Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS),
- Resume Writing and Interview Skills,
- Safe Food Handling
With the skills acquired in these sessions, you will gain insight into different occupations to help you determine what your specific interests and strong points are. With this knowledge, you will be one step closer to being desirable to prospective employers.
Note: This project is offered every other year on a provincial or regional basis, pending local interest. Should be offered in the 2014/15 4-H year.
