The official history of the geographic name Campbells Cove (which can be somewhat technical, we admit):
Named after Mr. Angus Campbell, one of the first settlers . (Postmaster, 1905). And PN of PEI, 1925. Campbell Cove (Sett.) was adopted in Place Names of PEI, 1925. Changed to Campbells Cove (Loc.) 22 November 1966 on 11L/8. Status confirmed as a Locality when Campbells Cove became part of the Community of Eastern Kings in 1974.
