The official history of the geographic name Hillsborough Park (which can be somewhat technical, we admit):
Hillsborough Park (Village) was incorporated 1 July 1976.Confirmed 19 July 197 6 on 11 L/6.Status changed to Community by the Municipalities Act in 1983. Sta tus changed to Locality when Hillsborough Park became part of the City of Charlo ttetown on 1 April 1995.
