The official history of the geographic name Mutchs Point (which can be somewhat technical, we admit):
McInnis Point was adopted 6 May 1947 on 11L/2. Changed to Mutchs Point 17 January 1972 on 11L/2 when application of McInnis Point altered to 46 07 - 62 57.
