New Annan (Sett.) was adopted in Place Names of PEI, 1925.Confirmed 2 August 1 944 on 11 L/5.Status changed to Locality 23 October 1989 on file 203-8. Named by "Squire" Jamieson, who built mills here.Probably after Annan, Dumfrie sshire, Scotland.- Place Names of PEI, 1925.
