North Rustico, a village, is located in Queens County in the central portion of Prince Edward Island, NE. of Hunter River. Its precise location is 46'27"N, 63'19"W.

The official history of the geographic name North Rustico (which can be somewhat technical, we admit):

North Rustico (NOT Grand Rustico)(Village and Lightstation) was adopted 7 Decemb er 1912 on OBF 0142.Confirmed in Place Names of PEI, 1925 and 12 December 1939 on 11L/6 as a Settlement. Incorporated as a Village in 1954.Status changed to Community by the Municipalities Act in 1983. 'Rustico' is thought to be a corruption of the surname of Rene Rassicot (or Raci cot).(PN of PEI, 1925 and 18th Report, 1924)
