History of the Name

The official history of the geographic name Palmer Road (which can be somewhat technical, we admit):

Named from Palmer Bros., landlords of Charlottetown one of them was a member of Parliament, and afterwards a judge.(Postmaster of DeBlois, 1905) Palmer Road (Sett.) was adopted 3 December 1946 on 21I/16.Status changed on 23 October 1989 on 203-8 to Locality.
