Augustin Cove (Sett.) was adopted in Place Names of PEI, 1925. Confirmed 2 August 1944 on 11L/4.Augustin Cove (NOT Augustine Cove) was confirmed 5 May 1960 on 11L/4.Name changed to Augustine Cove (Sett.) 28 November 1966 on 11L/4.Status changed to Locality 23 October 1989 on 203-8. Named after Major General Augustin Prevost (1723-86).See Prevost features nearby, also. - PN of PEI, 1925.
