History of the Name

The official history of the geographic name Cardigan (which can be somewhat technical, we admit):

Cardigan (Village) was adopted 25 April 1946 on 11L/2.Incorporated as a Village in 1954.Status changed to Community by the Municipalities Act in 1983. Contains the Locality of Cardigan.
