St. Nicholas (Sett.) was adopted in Place Names of PEI, 1925.Confirmed 2 Augus t 1944 on 11L/5 at 46 26 - 63 57.Status changed to Station in 1960 Gazetteer. Application altered to 46 25 - 63 57 and status changed to Settlement 24 Novemb er 1966 on 11L/5.Status changed to Locality 23 October 1989 on file 203-8 (now SM7915-30/2).St. Nicholas (Locality) became part of the Community of St. Nich olas in 1991.Confirmed 17 June 1996 on 11L/5.
