Tracadie Cross (Sett., P.O.) was adopted in Place Names of PEI, 1925.Confirmed 3 December 1946 on 11L/7 at 46 21 - 62 58.Status changed to Post Office in 1960 Gazetteer.Post office closed in August 1968. Application of Tracadie Cross (Loc.) was altered 28 January 1972 on 11L/7 about 3/4 mile to the east, where Highway 2 meets Highway 218 (but still at same coord inates).Status confirmed 16 November 1989 on 203-8.
