The official history of the geographic name Miminegash (which can be somewhat technical, we admit):
Ebbsfleet (Sett., P.O.) in Lot 2 and Miminegash (Sett.) in Lot 3 were adopted in Place Names of PEI, 1925.They were combined as Miminegash (Ebbsfleet P.O.-B. de p.) (Sett.) 3 December 1946 on 21I/16.Changed to Miminegash (Ebbsfleet P.O. -B. de p.) (Hamlet) in 1960 Gazetteer.Name changed to Miminegash (Hamlet) 4 De cember 1967 on 21I/16.Status changed to Locality when Miminegash became part o f the Community of Miminegash in 1968.
